Hylomar is a technically advanced, permanent plastic polyester-urethane sealant. Sealant is suitable for a wide variety of fluids, including all industrial fuels, oils, water and brine, air, turbine and piston engine combustion products, water, water / glycol and methanol blends, petroleum and synthetic ester-based lubricating oils, diesel and kerosene fluids. (Avtur and Avcat) are also resistant to fluorocarbon refrigerants. Hylomar is temperature resistant from -50 ° C to + 250 ° C, it can be used to seal sealing surfaces and threaded parts. Hylomar is suitable for sealing effectively from metal to metal and plastic to plastic. Typical applications; Water and oil pumps, Instrument inspection cover, Roller heads and oil pans, Coating of pre-prepared gaskets, Motor and air-tight seal for external high voltage circuit breakers, Seals motor and inlet manifolds for outdoor area and high voltage circuit breaker against the effects of weather, Timing cover, Connection points to oil pumps, Gear and key body components, Sealing of threads, Hylomar has also been used successfully in the assembly of gas turbines, water-cooled generators and turbo vacuum systems. The product is made of copper, silver, etc., with traces of volatile matter at high temperatures. does not stain on it and therefore suitable for joints and teeth close to switch mechanisms. Hylomar does not chemically bond with metals or other substances. It is suitable for metal to metal applications as well as gasket cladding. Usage: Sealing surfaces should be clean and dry. Apply a thin, even coating on both sides of the product and allow the solvent to evaporate. Then the components can be assembled. Because Hylomar is permanently plastic, it is not necessary to install components immediately after the sealant is applied to the sealing surfaces. Due to the characteristics of Hylomar M, the assembled components may need to be retightened. For the bolt load, tighten the required torque, let the sealant settle for a few minutes, then retighten. Hylomar can be cleaned from disintegrated components by rubbing it with a cloth dipped in acetone. The product does not need to be scraped off.
